Why should I use bank statement templates?
Using specialised bank templates for each bank statement structure (either pre-built or created in under a minute by the user) allows us to apply one powerful engine to a myriad of different uses, dictating exactly which data should be extracted, how it should be validated, where it should be placed in Excel and what should be highlighted during the automated transaction analysis. We have enhanced the parameters contained within the templates to save an immense amount of time for the user when compared to generic OCR extraction tools - for example, there is no manual manipulation to cater for differing vertical positions of dates and amounts, or manual aggregation of transactions that span multiple lines. The template based solution that StatementReader uses allows the user to specify the titles and footers of the transactions once (for user built templates), and the user can reuse this in one click.
